It has been over a week since my last entry, and in that time i have got to know my work environment a little better. For the whole it is not a bad situation, the work is good, the people kind, and the place comfortable. Though my work hours are few i am appreciative of what I can get, and the manager seems to seriously consider my request for more hours. It is a less than complicated position, and any person could easily take my place, so i must remain vigilant. So far i have an unblemished record, never late, in all actuality i have never been less than an hour early to any of my shifts. I intend to keep it this way, though the future of this situation is unknown to me. So far, the relationships with my co workers seems good, though some of them, namely a young man named Michael, and a young African-American woman whose name i do not know, have seemed less than friendly, but this can be expected given my appearance. However, a man whom I worked my first two shifts with, named Shane, and my third shift, a man named Jeremy, seem quite pleased to meet me, and I them. Shane is, by my sight, a hard working individual, intelligent, and fair minded. Jeremy is a curious man, a musician, and unexpectedly politically minded, he is also a man who is serious about his job, without being over critical toward himself or his fellows. All in all they seem a good crew, and all of them have an aspect desirable in a comfortable work place. The management is surprisingly adept at there staff arrangement, each person complementing another. It is a well made arrangement. On the latest note I ventured out yesterday to see one Miss Shelly Attwood, an old friend, whom I lost contact with a few years ago. She is looking well, and has become a very desirable young lady. Despite my track record I have decided to ask her out, and she has accepted. Nothing special, dinner, a movie, and that will be the end. Knowing this is far outside the norm of my standard, I find myself quite taken with her. And I think that if I decide to build a relationship, I would like to try with someone nice, some one I care about deeply.
